Kingston Technology Company, Inc., announced the release of the DataTraveler 400 (DT400), a new USB Flash drive preloaded with MigoSync data synchronization software from Migo Software, Inc., that allows users to work among multiple PCs by directly synchronizing files, email and Internet browser settings onto the drive.

You can access emails and keep sections of the drive secure through password protection, making this drive a powerful device to stay connected with work on the go. Available in capacities of 2GB, 4GB and 8GB, the DT400 is an easy plug and play on Windows Vista, XP, 2000 as well as Mac OS 10.2 and higher. The flash drives offer read speed of upto 20MB/sec and write speed of 10MB/sec.

With the drive’s MigoSync software users can navigate between systems. In addition to standard file synchronization, MigoSync also comes with Universal Mail Format1, which enables a user to access email on a guest PC, even when it does not support the user’s primary email application for formats including Windows Mail, Outlook, Outlook Express or Lotus Notes. The drive’s built-in SecureTraveler2 software allows the creation of a ‘Privacy Zone,’ whereby a user creates and maintains a password-protected area of the drive to keep data safe.

The Kingston DataTraveler 400 is supported by a five-year warranty and free technical support. The 2 GB DT400 is priced at Rs 2,255, while the 4 GB and 8 GB drives are priced at Rs 3,665 and Rs 7,995 respectively. These will be distributed across the country through Kingston distributors Avnet India, HCL, Ingram Micro, Kobian Electronics and Transtek Infoways.
