Hello Ganesh, thanks for your reply and clarification. As per your suggestion I tried to make out the difference between TX-32LE8 and TX-32LX80 models from Panasonic customer care and Panasonic websites. The customer care people says the difference is only the MAT and GLOSSY finish and the price difference is only 2000. I checked in Panasonic other country websites also. I am giving link of one such website: http://www.panasonicviera.co.nz/lcds/tx-32le8.html. They mention that TX-32LE8 model also uses IPS-ALPHA panel. Even Panasonic local support people mentions there is no technical difference between LE8 and LX80 models. I am bit confused what to do as India website doesnt mention TX-32LE8 has IPS ALPHA panel. Please suggest. by shatabda
It is right that both TV have similar picture, sound and connectivity features, apart from panel type difference as LX model has IPS Alpha Panel. Still considering price difference we would suggest you to take demo of both models side-by-side and see if there is any distinctive difference in performance and choose accordingly. by Ganesh Pawar
What are Full HD source available except Blue-Ray & HD Handycam. How can you convert DVD output to Full HD. How can you upgrade an HD ready LCD to Full HD TV? by shams_350467
You have rightly mentioned that Blu-ray, HD camcorder and internet are the only sources available to enjoy HD content. You can not convert HD ready TV to Full HD because of their different types of resolution sets them apart. Though you can watch DVD movies (480p) in upscaled 1080p format on HD Ready as well Full HD TVs when played from compatible DVD Player using HDMI as interface between both components. For the budget mentioned you have LCD TV choices like Samsung-LA32A550P1 (Full HD), Sony-KLV-32S400A and LG-32LG80UR. by Ganesh Pawar
I have recently purchased Spice - D-90 mobile phone. I want to activate GPRS. Earlier, I have been using Sony Ericsson K310 with GPRS and Airtel Sim. I want to use the same sim but in D90. Please advise me in this. by bhuvana9090
You will have to contact the mobile service provider (Airtel) to set the settings on Spice - D-90 mobile phone. by Surendra Shete
I had a Phillips juicer mixer grinder model number HL1632 bought 3-4 years back for Rs 2,900. Since I was not using it much I sold it off this year for Rs 1,100 Please tell me is it a good price for this model considering I had not used it much by bigboss1975
The value of any appliance would depreciate as time goes by. Also the warranty would have expired so you would have to sell it for depreciated value. But it would difficult for us to estimate the cost of the appliance. by Priti Panadi
Surendra, thank you for responding to my query on Olympus. Is there any other prosumer camera with 18x or more zoom, optical view finder and good image quality? I had short listed Canon-PowerShot S5 IS, Olympus-SP-565UZ and Fuji FinePix S8100fd. What are your thoughts on the three? by rajith.g
Canon-PowerShot S5 IS is also a very good digital camera but comes with less optical zoom as compared to the Olympus and Fuji. You can go ahead with the Fuji FinePix S8100fd. The major issue in the all the above mentioned three cameras, is the battery. All these cameras work on 4 alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries. So, its better you purchase a pack of rechargeable batteries with power at least 2500 mAh and above, which would last for a longer time after recharging. by Surendra Shete
Hi Ganesh, Can you please tell me, what all media formats a LCD TV can play through USB connection (either by PEN Drive or USB Hard Disk)? Does it vary from brand to brand? Thanks, by sanjay_noida
USB Port on LCD TVs support AV formats like MP3 (music), JPEG (Photo) and Divx/Xvid/MP4 (videos). It is not necessary that all TVs with USB Port will support above mentioned AV formats, as most of them only support MP3 and JPG picture files only, whereas LG Jazz series LCD TVs support videos as well. Finally none of current LCD TVs with USB port will play content from USB HDD as it can not power it up, there will be no problem in playing content from pen drives/ flash drives. by Ganesh Pawar
I want to buy a refrigerator of 180-200 Ltr capacity. Please suggest the model. Budget - 8-12K. by myself_pratik
You can check models like LG GL-211SM4, Samsung RA20TVSS1, Godrej GDE 19 C3 and Whirlpool Genius XL Royale. by Priti Panadi
Hi Andrew! Samsung dvdP480 comes with DTS digital surround sound for multi-channel surround sound. Which is better Samsung P480/Philips 5986k/98? by kaars21
Both these DVD players are good according to their prices, Philips DVP5986K comes with HDMI, USB, Dolby Digital Surround sound, DTS and Karaoke system. Samsung DVD-P480R (and not DVD-P480) comes with Dolby Digital Surround sound, FM tuner and USB port. Though Philips DVP5986K is higher in price than Samsung DVD-P480R, Philips has very good features and is worth the buy. by Andrew Paul
Please suggest me a DVD player which has all features, particularly with fm tuner, USB port, and HDMI. by koolravi
At present none of the DVD player has all these three features together; you can get players with HDMI and USB port – Samsung DVD-1080PK, Philips DVP5986K and LG DV 388. OR else you can get DVD player with USB port and FM tuner – Samsung DVD-P480R. by Andrew Paul
I have a Optoma H31 (USA product) no warranty in India - twice the lamp ballast has conked off the price is Rs 12,500 + 4500 for replacing the same. Should I buy a new one or live with the repaired one??? by puneaudiophile
Since part replacement and repairs cost is huge, which again may not be entitled for any warranty, in such case going for new projector is more advisable. As now entry level home theater projectors are available with higher brightness, better resolution, good contrast and connectivity along with better lamp life. So you can look for DLP options from brands like Benq, Viewsonic, Dell, Acer etc. by Ganesh Pawar
