I have a Optoma H31 (USA product) no warranty in India - twice the lamp ballast has conked off the price is Rs 12,500 + 4500 for replacing the same. Should I buy a new one or live with the repaired one???

Since part replacement and repairs cost is huge, which again may not be entitled for any warranty, in such case going for new projector is more advisable. As now entry level home theater projectors are available with higher brightness, better resolution, good contrast and connectivity along with better lamp life. So you can look for DLP options from brands like Benq, Viewsonic, Dell, Acer etc. by Ganesh Pawar
