I am planning to buy a CTV 29"; but what I observe in all the TV is that the edges or the corners are slightly bent as if they are not pure flat screens. Can you suggest me a good CTV which is real flat. Also I encountered a colour patch problem which is visible in all SLIM series 29" TVs from all the manufacturers. Is it existing in normal 29" CRTs also?
Alternatively I was looking for 26" and 32" LCDs from Samsung and Sony. But the clarity I didnt find upto the mark. The faces and eyes come bit blur in those TVs and also the Music channels have granule effect. Distinct edges are visible.
Can you suggest me which is good choice? Either a CRT or LCD?

CRT Flat TVs does have flat picture tube which evident if you compare it with older curved CRT TV. As you said it appears curved at edges may be in comparison with LCD/Plasma TVs, then it is more because of its design and build. If you have apprehensions about slim CRTs then go for normal flat TVs, you have choices from brands Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, LG and Onida. You have rightly mentioned that TV broadcast looks average on LCD TVs, that is mainly because poor quality of TV signals. But LCD TVs are good for DVD movies, gaming, HD content and to use it as large screen monitor. So choose one type of TV considering your viewing pattern, if it involves mainly TV broadcast go for CRT TV, if you are into gaming or wish to watch HD content in future then LCD TV is good choice. by Ganesh Pawar
