Any reviews on Voltas Vertis Plus 1.5 ton AC as I am planning to go for this. Any other AC with better energy efficiency and cooling can also be considered. Please advice! by khatrira

Voltas-Vertis Plus -1.5Ton is second best model from Voltas with EER of 9.09 which is relative low, considering higher EER in other competing models. You have better choice of Voltas-Vertis Elite 1.5 Ton having better EER of 9.57 and if your budget is flexible then you can consider Carrier-Estrella 1.5 Ton having EER of 10.04.

I want to know the specification difference between KLV-26V300A and KLV-26U300A models. Dealers says 26 inch LCD in V series is no longer available. Sony web site is not updated with U series information. by vinbie

KLV-26U300A is less superior than KLV-26V300A, as it has low contrast ratio (800:1), no Bravia Engine for picture processing, low viewing angle, less connectivity options and priced on lower side at Rs 32,000. You have other choices like LG 26LG30R and Samsung with better contrast ratio, faster response time and better connectivity.

I am planning to buy a 32" LCD TV. But I am not able to decide on the model yet. LG 32LC7R is priced at 36,000 and Sony 32S310A at 44,900. LG-32LC7R is value for money choice at Rs 36,000 considering its contrast ratio, response time and connectivity. Just take demo of both TVs before choosing one, if you performance of LG 32LC7R satisfying then go for it.

Power consumption of around 2 units per hour for 1.5Ton air conditioner is normal, while Hitachi - Quadricool 1.5 RAV019EMDZ1 being the most energy efficient air conditioner will prove economical over a period of time. LG-LWA18G2DFH1 and Electrolux-OXIGEN 1.5 T EA18WCRXW1 has similar EER, so you can say that energy consumption will be almost same. You can choose one considering that brand has good service network in your area.

Dear Sir, Please let me know between a top loading tumble washer (Videocon and Kenstar have them), a front loading tumble washer and top loading pulsator/agitator machine, which one is preferable with the top loading tumble washer having the following advantages A. Compared to a front loading tumble washer, it can be opened midway through the cycle and running water not required B. Compared to pulsator/agitator top loading machine it will consume less water and also gentle on the cloth as it is a tumble washer. Not many brands have top loading washing machines with tumble wash. From reputed brands only Kenstar has this kind of model with 5 kg capacity. Yes, it is correct that these machines can be opened mid way through the cycle as these are top loaders. But, running water would be required for all fully automatic washing machines. Tumble wash method gives a better wash quality then agitator and pulsator. It would be advisable to go for a front loading tumble washer.
