Most of the air conditioner manufacturers use imported compressors that too of China made. Onida-WO18 comes fitted compressor from brand called Highly which is Chinese corporation. While in China this company is called Shanghai Hitachi Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd, as they operate in joint venture. Since Hitachi is reputed brand in India, dealer sales representatives and company officials prefer saying Onida ACs come with Hitachi compressors. Though technicaly AC seems good, but you can still recheck with dealer for said information.

For an area of around 378 sq. ft. approx 3 ton capacity would be required. You can go for two 1.5 ton units. LG is a good brand. You can choose form its star rated models. It would have been helpful to suggest models if you had mentioned your approximate budget.
