A day in Hyderabad with my Nikon D40
A lightweight and compact digital SLR, this camera does justice to your travels
Sujith Gopinath | Feb 27, 2008

This is no Hyderabad Blues. It is, in fact, a tale of the city of Hyderabad seen through the eyes of my Nikon D40. I happened to be there recently and I was touched by the grandeur of this majestic city. My faithful partners now - the Nikon D40 and its kit lens - travel with me everywhere I go. The idea is to document my travels and take back home as many good memories as possible. I must, however, add that in this case I took more shots than what I usually do to evaluate my recent purchase - the Nikon D40 digital SLR.

The first thing that impressed me about the D40, besides its 6-megapixel resolution, is the lightweight form. It is extremely light for a DSLR and compact too. You can literally sling this camera around your neck and not feel weighed down. I carried it in a Lowepro Slingshot AW, which is a compact backpack that can be rotated to the front in a jiffy, should a photo opportunity arise.
