How to hone your photo skills
If creativity is your cup of tea, you have got to try these camera features

Flash Exposure Compensation

This is a very useful feature in all digital cameras. You might have noticed that in some situations, the flash is so strong that your subject ends up getting ‘burnt out’. This happens mostly when the subject is very close to the camera. In such a situation, it is a good idea to reduce the flash intensity to -1/2 or -4/3.

In this photograph taken with the macro mode, the flash was too close to the subject. So I had to set a flash exposure compensation of -2/3.

QUICK TIPS
  • Refrigerator maintenance

Don't store paper bags or anything else behind the refrigerator. They can cut airflow, making the refrigerator work harder.

  • Energy saving guideline

Setting desktops, laptops, monitors to sleep-mode when not in use helps cut energy costs by approximately 40 percent.

  • Remove debris

Clean your window AC's filter biweekly. If the debris is clogging cooling oils, hose off the back of the unit.
