
Epson Stylus Photo R1900 is the latest addition to Epson’s series of printers aimed at amateur digital imaging enthusiasts. The new eight-ink A3+ photo printer comes with a new ink set and improved image processing technology to help realise that perfect print.
Photo quality prints take a great leap forward, with the new Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss2 inks. With the inclusion of a new orange ink and improved gloss optimizer, Epson Stylus Photo R1900 offers a significantly wider colour gamut, ensuring prints have natural skin tones and colour consistency with smoother tonal gradation. The new set of inks portrays striking realism in every print.
In addition to the standard cyan, magenta and yellow colours, the inks add matte black, photo black, red, orange and a gloss optimiser as well. While the orange ink helps expand the colour gamut in the red area, producing rich and natural skin tones in A3+ size portraits The improved gloss optimizer helps you produce a smoother and glossier finish over highlights, which usually have no ink layer, creating a silky and high gloss finish from edge to edge.
Epson claims their proprietary UltraChrome ink series stands by its reputation of offering outstanding print durability and minimal metamerism, means the best quality in every photo.
The printer is also noted for its flexibility for use, with a wide variety of paper media as well as printing directly onto CDs and DVDs. This offers photographers with an unsurpassed choice of formats to present their works. In moving with digital imaging trends, this printer is capable of working without a PC too. The new printer offers direct photo printing from inputs including digital cameras and photoviewers via PictBridge. In addition, dual USB 2.0 ports allow for multiple PC connections in the photo studios as well.
The printer is expected to hit the market in the month of March and is priced at Rs 39,999.
