SatNav launches super affordable personal navigation device in India
Jan 03, 2008
SatNav Technologies has launched a Personal Navigation Device (PND) for the Indian market. This PND comes with SatNav's SatGuide map software. Mio Technology, a world leader in GPS devices, has developed the hardware for the PND.

The device sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen with an easy-to use software. It also comes with a built-in MP3 player and photo viewer. The PND offers 64 MB flash memory, 512 MB RAM and runs on WinCE 5.0. It comes with a USB charging facility along with a car charger as well as a room charger, so you don’t have to worry about running out of power.

The PND offers clear maps, turn-by-turn guidance, and voice instructions. Meanwhile, the SatGuide software comes with a 'how to use' demo. SatGuide currently offers detailed maps for over 30 cities, plus an all India map to facilitate travelling from city to city.

The navigation device has a 3.5 to 4 hours battery life and is available for a very affordable Rs 12,000.
