Nokia has announced the availability of the new N77 multimedia device, in India. The latest Nseries model is a DVB-H enabled handset that supports LIVE TV Broadcast on mobiles.

Currently N77 supports live TV programming of eight Free-to-air Doordarshan channels including DD National, DD News, DD Sports, DD Bharati, DD Urdu, DD Punjabi, DD Bangla, and DD Podhigai in New Delhi. However, the company plans to soon extend these services across the whole country, as well as increase the channels offered. Nokia N77 incorporates a wide 2.4-inch flat screen with up to 16 million colours and high quality stereo sound making it the perfect ideal personal mobile device for enjoying live TV and music on the move.
The Nokia N77 multimedia device has a special TV key, which allows direct access to digital entertainment. The key even retains information of the last channel a person viewed before switching it off. It also offers features like reminder and alerts for TV shows at the push of a button. The Program Guide in the mobile TV application offers program information up to seven days. Furthermore, it also includes capabilities such as 30-second replay and live TV watching after replay, along with built-in interactive service functionality, like SMS voting for deciding what music video should be followed.
Apart from this, the phone lives up to the Nseries reputation with its 2-MP camera with 16x digital zoom, LED flash; a music player, FM radio, integrated stereo speakers and 2 GB memory. Connectivity options include Integrated Bluetooth wireless technology (1.2) with A2DP support for compatible stereo headset with Bluetooth wireless technology. The phone operates on Symbian OS.
