Clearly the best value for money option, the Acer Aspire 4520 is available at a throwaway price of Rs 29,000. A bundle of neat specifications, good build quality and good performance combine to make this machine a really good deal. And look at the price. Until some time ago, below 30K laptops did not fetch you good specs but Acer has clearly put some thoughts to rest. Acer needs to get a pat on its shoulder for being able to bring sterling machines to the larger mass. The 4520 is powered by AMD’s latest Dual Core TK-53 processor that clocks at 1.7 GHz; 1 GB of DDR2 667 MB RAM, and a 160 GB HDD are integrated into the machine. Its graphics runs on Nvidia’s 7000M chipset, which is very basic. Another feature to reckon with is a pair of Dolby Digital Live certified speakers.
