The solutions
Digihome Solutions Pvt offers builders an integrated solution comprising security, safety, information, communication, automation and entertainment. While they don't offer standalone systems, they do however have a minimum or entry package, which is purely a safety and security system with an upgradable provision. This system costs Rs 75000. They have two types of solutions - secured home solution and connected home solution.
The secured home solution is their basic solution, which provides security and safety and this range starts from Rs 40,000. The connected home solution on the other hand, is a complete digital experience. They provide the digital infrastructure to automate whichever area of the house you wish to. This solution starts from Rs 100,000 (entry level - provides basic safety, security and automation) and go up to Rs 400,000.

Lighting

While simplicity and convenience are the basics of automation, ambience and setting a mood through lighting is the bonus. In India, Legrand and Clipsal Schneider are among the leading suppliers of home lighting systems. Legrand India sells "In One" home solutions, which includes curtain/blinds control switch, universal remote control, scene controller and automatic switch. Legrand offers a range of off-the-shelf individual components that start from Rs 25,000.

Zicom Security Solutions

Security and monitoring systems

The idea is to provide security not from outdoors (locks, etc) but indoors as well. For instance, Zicom Electronic security offers a gas leak alarm, which understands malfunctioning, if any, of the gas pipeline and immediately alerts you. Zicom Security Systems has also launched various such security systems for homes. It also provides you with a video door phone and the whole system is linked with the company's central monitoring system (CMS). If you live in a metro, you will have to pay an additional monthly rental of Rs 200 for CMS services. They have a basic Home security systems package that provides a main panel, motions sensor, magnetic sensor, gas leak sensor, a hooter and two remote switches. This basic system costs Rs 6990. They also have a cheaper Zicom Shop pack, which includes a main panel, motion sensor, a hooter and one remote control switch. These sensors can be bought independently as well. For instance, their standalone gas leak sensor will cost you Rs 950, Magnetic sensor - Rs 395 and motion sensor - Rs 855. Apart from this, they also sell video door phones, which you nay or may not include in your package. A B/W door phone is priced at Rs 7990 and a colour video door phone amounts to Rs 17495.
