Fair Electronics & Appliances, started by Chunilal Saluja, is a retail store more than 40 years old. Chunilal’s vision was to provide a fair (as the name suggests) deal on every sale- fair in price and fair in terms of service. In 1975, his two sons Ajay & Ashok Saluja, who run the show today, joined him. Located in Bhandup, the store is now one of the oldest & most respected stores in Mumbai.
The store sells umpteen products, such as home theatre systems, speaker sets, TVs, DVD players, cameras, refrigerators, washing machines, ACs, microwave ovens, desktop PCs, laptops , etc. The company is also planning to add other kitchen appliances to its repertoire.
The store is an authorised dealer for all major brands such as LG, Godrej, Whirlpool, Videocon, Onida, Samsung, Sony, etc. The store has also been recognised by awards such as “Upcoming new retailer in Air conditioners” – LG India, 2002, “Certificate of Excellence” – Citi Financial, 2004, “Promising Dealer” – Sansui, 2003, and many more.
The store has a strength of over ten sales executives & is ready to take on any customer queries without a hitch. There are two stores located in the same compound: one caters to customers seeking small appliances, colour TVs & small audio systems, while the other caters to customers seeking LCDs, large home theaters & large appliances (ACs, high end washing machines, etc.). A third store- which will display a wide range of Home appliances such as chimneys, hobbs, high-end refrigerators, washing machines, etc.- is in progress.
Apart from the continuous company festival offers, the store also makes it a point to initiate special offers from time to time. Some of these offers include: assured gifts with every purchase, store anniversary offers and lucky draws.
Finance schemes are also available at 0 percent interest on virtually every product, which gives the customer a wide range of payment options at a minimal additional cost.
Fair Electronics and Appliances has a huge database of Mulund-, Bhandup-, Vikhroli-, Powai-, Ghatkopar- and Chembur- customers, and offers them free home-delivery. The footfall for the store reaches to almost 50 per day (during peak hours), with a strike rate of 85 percent.
