Gamers rejoice for the Elite version of Microsoft's highly popular Xbox 360 is now in India
Aug 22, 2007
The Xbox 360 was much-hyped and gained easy acceptance among the Indian masses. Even the recent launch of the PS3 couldn't dull the Xbox fervour, so it is pretty obvious that the Xbox Elite will gain as much if not more fanfare than its debut version. And the Elite version promises more action.

This latest model of the video game and digital entertainment system with a premium black finish will include a 120 GB hard drive with added features, enabling enough space for lots more music and movie downloads. The Xbox Elite includes Xbox 360 HDMI cable, which allows gamers to get HD video (up to 1080p) and multichannel surround sound, all from one cable.

While talking about the launch, Mohit Anand, country manager, entertainment and devices division, Microsoft India, said, "There is a huge demand for gaming in the country and fans are constantly craving for products and features that enhance their experience. The Xbox 360 Elite's good looks, larger storage space and premium features will allow our customers in India to enjoy all that the next generation of entertainment has to offer."

The console is equipped with an HDMI port, HDMI cable, a black wireless controller and black Xbox LIVE headset. It also comes with three powerful core processors, 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio, anti-aliasing for smooth textures, full surround sound and DVD playback with upscaling capabilities right out of the box.

Priced at Rs 34,990, the Xbox 360 Elite looks all set to give other consoles a run for their money. Game on!
